KPTA Meets With The General Manager of The Public Authority for Youth and Sports

The KPTA had a positive meeting with the General Manager of The Public Authority for Youth and Sports , retired general Faisal Aljazzaf, in Teusday 10th of July 2012 where they discussed several topics regarding the Physical therapy in Kuwait in general, and regarding the recruitment of unlicensed and unqualified personnel as physical therapists in the local sport clubs..

KPTA: We Demand Justice for Our Physical Therapists

The KPTA’s President Dr Ahmad Alharbi have thanked Dr AlObaidi, The Minister of Health, for his decision is transferring the hospital directors including the PMR hospital’s director in his statement.  Moreover, Dr Alharbi  demanded in his statement that the Ministry of  Health should look into the Physical Therapist’s complaints that were filed regarding the previous promotions.

KPTA Files a Complaint to the Minister of Health on The Director of P.T. Admin. in M.O.H.

The KPTA had filed several complaints to the Minister of The Health regarding the in-cooperation of the Director of the Physical Therapy Administration in the Ministry of Health (M.O.H.) with the KPTA and the 26 Physical Therapists who previously complaint his previous Random/Unjust decisions in promoting several Physical Therapists to new head of departments in several hospitals in Kuwait, knowing that the KPTA and the 26 P.T.’s had tried to meet with the Director to solve their complaints, but he insisted on his decisions and refused to meet with them.

KPTA’s Meeting with the Minister of Health

The KPTA had a meeting with the minister of Health Dr. Ali Alobaidi where they discussed the P.T. situation in Kuwait and how P.T. can progress into a better profession in regards to patient care and the Physical therapists as employees.  Moreover, several topics were discussed including the D.P.T. and how can P.T. in Kuwait  achieve the regional and global standards in the advancement of Physical Therapy.

P.T.’s Protests against M.O.H.’s Undersecretary Decisions

A letter was written by the KPTA to the Minister of Health, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and the Committee on Petitions and Complains of The Kuwait National Assembly explaining to them the protest from the 26 P.T.s in Kuwait on the Undersecretary’s decision for promoting new P.T. head of Departments in the governmental hospitals which are , according to the Civil Service Commission, less qualified than the protesting 26 P.T.’s..

KPTA’s Delegation to Physio Dubai 2012

10 KPTA members Delegates have been chosen (by a random public name drawl) to attended the Physio Dubai 2012 conference on May 20-21st on behalf of the KPTA, and 4 of the KPTA board members have attended the same conference on their behalf.

KPTA Elections Won by the Future PT Group

The Future PT Group have won the KPTA elections on 10th of April 2012 with the Dr Hamad Alothman having the leading votes of 105, Dr Hanan Humoud came in second place with 94 votes, Dr Hamad Almutairi came in third place with 92 votes, Dr Ali Nahar came in 4th place with 91 votes, Dr Ahmad Alharbi won 82 votes which made him the fifth place, Dr Albatool Leri came in sixth place with 81 votes, and last but not least Dr Zaid Albuloushi with 80 votes.
